After School pick ups
We collect children after school and bring them to our fully accessible Ofsted registered premises where they are provided with a healthy and nutritious snack.
WHO IS IT FOR AND WHEN IS IT?
Our service is for 3 to 12-year-olds Mondays to Fridays at 3pm- 4.15pm term-time only. (After 4.15pm children can attend our daily Playdays sessions, more info below.)
SCHOOLS THAT WE COLLECT FROM
Smithdown Primary, Lawrence Community Primary, St Hugh’s, St Vincent De Paul, St Clare’s and St Anne’s Catholic Primary.
We use taxis, public transport and a walking bus to collect children. Those who are dropped off or able to make their own way are admitted from 3.30pm.
WHAT'S ON OFFER?
We have a spacious and friendly playroom for our 3 to 7-year-olds, divided into areas that offer a range of play and learning experiences as well as a quiet space for relaxing.
Our 8 to 12-year-old’s room gives young people access to digital technology, cookery, arts and crafts, games and a chill out area.
We also have a large outdoor play area which is used by both groups.
SNACK TIME
We provide your child with a healthy snack at 3.45pm daily.
FEES
The cost of our snack and pick up service is £7.99 per child per day.
Playdays
Playdays is a BBC Children in Need-funded programme providing two years of play opportunities for those from disadvantaged and diverse ethnic backgrounds in Liverpool.
The Greenhouse Project runs daily Playdays sessions facilitated by qualified play workers who recruit and train our children aged 8 and over to become their own facilitators and leaders of play.
WHO IS IT FOR AND WHEN IS IT?
Our Playdays sessions are FREE for 3 to 12-year-olds from the L8 area.
Opening hours are 4.15pm-6.15pm Mondays to Fridays during term-time and 10am-1.30pm and 2pm-5.30pm during school holidays (except Christmas).
WHAT'S ON OFFER?
We have a huge range of indoor and outdoor play and arts activities such as games, arts and crafts, cookery and forest schooling.
CHILDREN'S STEERING GROUP
We are committed to including children and young people in decision-making processes that affect them. To that end we have a steering group for children aged 8 to 12-years-old that meets once a month to plan, monitor and evaluate how well we are doing.
